Lavon Fire Department operates multiple purpose built apparatus each utilized for for their specific strengths on each incident. All LFD apparatus operate out of Station 1 located at 501A Lincoln Ave.
Ladder 1 is a 2019 Spartan HD 105' Quint apparatus that serves as the city's first-out apparatus for all fire, motor vehicle accident, rescue responses, and emergency medical calls. This apparatus holds the latest in firefighting and rescue tools including rescue struts, battery operated extrication tools, TRU-ID hose, and low pressure nozzles. As an apparatus used for medical care it is also equipped with all of our necessary medical tools including a LifePak 15 cardiac monitor as well as Advanced Life Support equipment and medications.
Engine 1 is a 2012 Spartan Crimson Pumper apparatus that serves as the city's second out apparatus for all fire, motor vehicle accident, rescue responses, and is equipped to handle emergency medical calls as needed. This apparatus utilizes the most up to date in firefighting tools including TRU-ID hose and low pressure nozzles, As an apparatus used for medical care it is also equipped with all of our necessary medical tools including a LifePak 15 cardiac monitor as well as Advanced Life Support equipment and medications.
Brush 1 is a 2009 Dodge 4500 brush apparatus that serves as the city's reserve apparatus for all grass and wildland fires. This apparatus is equipped with the necessary hand tools, water, and hoses to fight wildland, grass, and urban interface fires.
Brush 2 is a 2022 Ford F-550 brush apparatus that serves as the city's first out apparatus for all grass fires and second out for emergency medical responses. This apparatus is equipped with the necessary hand tools, water, and hoses to fight wildland, grass, and urban interface fires. As an apparatus used for medical care it is also equipped with all of our necessary medical tools including a LifePak 15 cardiac monitor as well as Advanced Life Support equipment and medications.
Chief 1 is a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe that serves as the response vehicle for the city's Fire Chief. This apparatus responds to all major incidents requiring incident command as well as other incidents as necessary.
